Cafe Baumann in Koblenz

Cake was delicious, but the piece for 3.80 € was really tiny, maybe instead of 14, divide 12 pieces.

It is always a great experience to have breakfast here. The cafe is tastefully decorated with comfortable armchairs and has its own charm. As soon as you enter the cafe, the smell of freshly ground coffee and bread wafts around your nose. Each breakfast can be put together individually, e.g. B. eggs, muesli, rolls, fresh fruit, quark and so on .....- everything your heart desires. The coffee is excellent. Different coffee specialties are offered - it is difficult to decide. For those who are hungry in between, snacks, various soups, sandwiches and pancakes are offered sweet or hearty. The staff is friendly and competent. Just sit down and enjoy with all your senses

Cake was ok but nothing special, so the price was incomprehensible. Coffee comes in a small cup, too expensive for that. Lemonade looked good, unfortunately way too sweet. The service outside at the table was friendly.

Time: COVID-19 pandemic (Corona): The staff wears the plastic visors, the effectiveness of which has already been officially denied. This means that the employees do not care about the health of their customers. Too bad. That's why I will avoid the café in the future.

As always luxurious, we were celebrating something today and there is probably no better solution for this day like Baumann on Sunday in Koblenz!

Unfortunately none of the staff wears effective masks, only plastic visors. For the quality of the cake, two stars instead of just one.

A great cafe! I haven't had such a great chocolate in a long time. There used to be the Café Overbeck in Essen, and I was very reminded of the atmosphere that prevailed there in Café Baumann. Hopefully the people of Koblenz will appreciate what a great offer they have in their city.

I'd rather go down the street in Ulrike's Kulturbackhaus!

I can only recommend it! We have been happy to go there for several years. The most delicious and freshest breakfast in Koblenz! The other goodies in the store are a dream too! The entire team, including the boss and boss, are very child-friendly, so we like to go there with our two small children!

I like to order cakes here for upcoming family celebrations. They are a complete success every time and have been consumed within a very short time. The quality of the cakes is really good and they also taste great.

This pastry shop is unique in Koblenz. Buns and the like are just delicious. The many different cakes, a real palate and a feast for the eyes. The highlight is the crumble and butter cake, which you simply have to try. I can really only recommend this pastry shop.

Product range (***): Many different cakes and tarts in decent handicraft quality. Strawberry tartlet, however, with too much sugar in the pudding inside, which in turn seemed to have an artificial vanilla flavor. Good cheesecake. Coffee cream very small. (See pictures). Ambience (**): Located on a busy street, not in the best change from Koblenz, therefore rather unpleasant on the outside. Inside a bit dated coffee house atmosphere. Service (**): At the cake counter rather snappy, if you can decide immediately, even though the café was sparse. Servicekraft did not clean the outside of the table when the order was placed, although recognizable cakes from previous guests stuck to the table. Otherwise friendly. Price-performance (*): Completely excessive pricing; a (1!) strawberry tart 6.80 €, for the amount and quality an impertinence beyond compare! A small coffee cream € 2.80. We're finally talking about Cafe Baumann in "Koblenz" and not about e.g. Café Heinemann in Düsseldorf on Königsallee, where a piece of strawberry cake with the finest confectionery art, which is one and a half times as large, costs just € 4.40. Even in the Café am Dom in Cologne you are very expensive, but not so cheeky in pricing. Conclusion: If you want to throw money out of the window, you can go to Café Baumann.

Lovely breakfast and great cakes/tortes

Good desserts and pastries. The cafe is nice and cozy, but really crowded with tables squeezed closely together. The service is generally okay. We received our cakes relatively fast, but then it took forever for the waitress to come back and bring the bill. I also orderd a complete cake from here (Baumkuchentorte) for a celebration, and the guests really liked it. Popular among both tourists and locals , pricey but worth a try.

I love, love, love the fresh Brötchen, such a great piece of German tradition and lifestyle. Absolutely something I don't want to live without. check out the other superb cakes and sweets which represent craftsmanship not just cheap sugar and cream like a Costco cake (arghhh!). Those are worth sinning and enjoying life for!

Café Baumann is an icon in Koblenz. Their bakery products are amazing - and my Mum, who still lives in Koblenz, goes there all the time - since 30+ years. Yesterday, old friends took us for breakfast - and I hate to say it, but it was less than average, and the service was not only inattentive, but the execution was awful - and any product that did not come from the bakery was less than average. The salami and turkey was ... cheap. The four of us hated it. Then, it took three attempts to get a soft boiled egg - and it arrived 30 mins after breakfast. Once the service had cleaned our plates, it just disappeared. We sat there for another hour - as you do in Germany - and they did not even ask if we cared for anything else. I would understand if the place was packed - but at this particular time, two-thirds of the tables were vacant. They did not even bother to bring the check - we had to find someone to pay. Sorry, as much as I love your place, if I had to pick a place where to go today, I'd rather risk checking out any new place than going again. And again, this comes from a customer who has been at least 100 times in the last 30 years.

Good coffee & food, very busy during morning Rush. Staff was pleasant, but very expensive breakfast prices.

Excellent hot chocolate. Rail strike scrambled schedules with delays. We enjoyed their caribian schokolade (with rum) while replanning the day. Sympathetic and friendly wait staff.

Delectable. The cafe is delightful as are the sweet treats. I recommend the hot chocolate with express (topped with a chocolate drizzle)

Without question, Baumann makes the best cakes in all of Koblenz, but you are paying for it. Go there if you are celebrating a special occasion.
